Welcome to Why Rent A Room.Com.  Big D and me (Big M) founded this website based on an epiphany while staying in our first rental home while on vacation.  Big D looked at me, as he sipped on a jack and coke by the pool, and said "Why would anyone rent a room when they could stay in a home!?"  Since then we have owned and rented vacation homes nationally.  

Due to the many no fun, non-traveler friendly, and same plain old vacation rental websites we decided to start our own this year.  When we book our vacations we get excited.  We wanted to experience a site that helped us as travelers prepare to enjoy our trip.  We also wanted to create a site where travelers easily reference properties, share experiences, and find information about various facets of vacationing.
